    • Results and the analysis of the Agent Contest will be published as a special issue of Annals of Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.
    • Jürgen was PC co chair of IDC 2017.

    • Nils Bulling received the Best Program Committee Member Award of the 18th International Conference on Principles and Practice of Multi-Agent Systems (PRIMA) 2015.
    • Wojciech Jamroga organised the LAMAS Seminar on Interaction Gdansk (LAMAS SING) 2015.
    • The GALOT project (a DFG-Luxembourg cooperation with Wojtek Jamroga) has ended.
    • Nils has completed his habilitation!

    • Dr. Rebecca Olufunke visited us for a collaborative project Nigeria-Germany.
    • Nils (jointly with Prof. Wiebe van der Hoek) organized the workshop "Logical Aspects of Multi-Agent Systems" (LAMAS) as a satellite workshop of AAMAS 2014. It took place in Paris (France) in May 2014.
    • Jürgen (jointly with Dr. Fabiano Dalpiaz and Dr. M. Birna van Riemsdijk) organized the workshop "Engineering Multi-Agent Systems" (EMAS) as a workshop of AAMAS 2014. It took place in Paris (France) in May 2014.
    • Jürgen organizes the Agent Contest together with Federico and Tobias.
    • Nils is completing his habilitation process.

  • 2012

    • Jürgen (jointly with Koen Hindriks, Brian Logan and Wayne Wobcke) organizes the Dagstuhl seminar Engineering Multi-Agent Systems. During the seminar, a new workshop series, Engineering Multiagent systems (EMAS), has been founded. It is a merger of the three workshop series ProMas, DALT and AOSE.
    • Jürgen and Nils gave a lecture at EASSS 2012, T4 Introduction to the modelling and verification of, and reasoning about multi-agent systems.
    • Jürgen organizes the Multi-Agent Programming Contest together with Tristan, Michael and Federico.
    • The IT Ecosystems project (where Jürgen and Michael were involved) was finished successfully.
    • The new project GALOT (a DFG-Luxembourg cooperation with Wojtek Jamroga) was accepted.
    • Nils (jointly with Natasha Alechina, Mehdi Dastani and Brian Logan) gave the lecture Logics and Multi-Agent Programming Languages at the 11th International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (AAMAS’12) in Valencia, Spain, June 2012.
    • The book Programming Multi-Agent Systems edited by Jürgen, Collier and Peter Novák, 8th International Workshop, ProMAS 2010, Toronto, ON, Canada, May 11, 2010. Revised Selected Papers was finally published.

    • Jürgen, Wojtek and Dov Samet organize the Dagstuhl seminar Reasoning about Interaction : From Game Theory to Logic and Back.
    • Jürgen organizes an Agent Contest together with Tristan, Michael, Federico and Jomi Hübner.
    • Jürgen together with Tristan, Michael, M. Dastani and J. Hübner publish two AMAI Special Issues about the Multi-Agent Programming Contest.
    • Jürgen together with G. Kern-Isberner, G. Simari and Sven-Ove Hansson got a Dagstuhl seminar on Belief Change and Argumentation in Multi-Agent Scenarios accepted.
    • The  special issue for the journal on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems edited by R. Bordini, M. Dastani, J. Dix and A. El Fallah Segrouchni (containing selected papers of the Dagstuhl seminar in 2008) was finally published.
    • Jürgen gave an invited talk at the NRAC workshop in Barcelona.
    • Nils got the Beth Dissertation Prize 2011 and the Förderpreis des Vereins von Freunden für his dissertation
    • Nils and Wojtek give a course at the European Summer School in Logic, Language and Information (ESSLLI) on "Decision Problems and Decision Procedures for Strategic Logics".

    • Barbara (co-)organizes a Dagstuhl seminar on Recurrent Neural Networks- Models, Capacities, and Applications.
    • Tristan, Jürgen and Peter organize the Agent Contest 2008 together with Mehdi Dastani (Utrecht University, NL).
    • Jürgen attends the Perspective Workshop: Theory and Practice of Argumentation Systems , which was organized by S. Parsons (Brooklyn College, USA), E. Prakken (Utrecht University, NL), G. Simari (Universidad Nacional del Sur - Bahia Blanca, RA) and himself.
    • Jürgen and Wojtek give a course on What Coalitions Can Achieve at EASSS'08 in Estoril, Portugal.
    • Jürgen acts as Associate Editor for the Annals of Math and AI. For the past 10 years, he acted on the Editorial Board of this journal.
    • Matthias received the Technologiepreis der wehrtechnischen Industrie for the application of CI-methods on the detection of landmines.
    • Barbara got grants from the DFG for a 3 years's project entitled 'Relevance Learning in Temporal Neural Maps'.
    • Barbara coorganizes a session on Frontiers of Bioinformatics at the 5th Japanese-German Frontiers of Science Symposium of the Alexander von Humboldt foundation and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science in Mainz.
      Within an Erasmus cooperation, Barbara visits the Computational Intelligence Group of the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
  • 2007

    • Matthias Reuter receives the award "Technologiepreis der wehrtechnischen Industrie" for his research on the detection of land-mines using computer-based, self-adaptive methods. He shares the price money of 20000 EUR with Wolfgang Schade.
    • Dagstuhl seminar: "Programming Multi-Agent Systems" accepted (2008), Bordini, Dastani, Dix, El Fallah Segrouchni.
    • Together with Michael Biehl (Groningen) and Wolfgang Kinzel (Würzburg), Barbara Hammer is organizing a seminar on From Statistical Physics to Computer Science: Analysis of Biological and Medical Data at the MPI Physik komplexer Systeme in Dresden, October, 1-26,2007.

    • The paper 'Relational Neural Gas' authored by Barbara Hammer and Alexander Hasenfuss won the best paper award at KI'07.

    • Barbara Hammer has been invited as speaker in the session Machine Learning of the 3rd Japanese-German Frontiers of Science Symposium organized by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science in November 2006. Overall, 12 German and 12 Japanese scientists from diverse fields including Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, etc. were invited to present their research at the cutting edge of different disciplines to a diverse audience.
    • Jürgen Dix is member of the EPSRC Peer Review College.
    • Jürgen Dix gives an invited Lecture (with Wojtek Jamroga) on Modal Logics for Multi-Agent Systems, (July 17-21), European Summer School in Agents, Annecy, France.
    • Jürgen Dix is Expert Evaluator in the Sixth Research Framework Programme (EU).

    • Barbara Hammer has been invited to give a plenary talk at WSOM'05, the leading conference in the field of self-organizing maps, which took place in September 2005 in Paris, France.
    • In March 2005 Barbara Hammer visited the group SAMOS-MATISSE of the University Paris I (Sorbonne) as invited guest professor.
    • Jürgen Dix acted as expert evaluator (jointly with V. Lifschitz and T. Eiter) in a promotion committee from assistant to associate professor at Cyprus University, Cyprus.

    • Jürgen Dix and Barbara Hammer become professor for Computer Science at Clausthal University of Technology.
    • 2-7 Sept 2004: Jürgen Dix is visiting Helsinki University of Technology (Prof. Ilkka Niemelae) and giving an invited talk. Jürgen Dix is also being invited from the Finnish Academy of Sciences as Expert Evaluator for the national research programme.
